The Dutch selection for the European AI Startup Landscape has been expanded with five new Top AI Startups, the Dutch AI Coalition (NL AIC) announced earlier this month. Among them are three very promising companies from Zuid-Holland!

The European AI Startup Landscape is a centralised database that gives a clear overview of AI start-ups categorised by country and category. You can visit the recent selection of the most promising Dutch startups that the NL AIC has brought in together with partners, including Zuid-Holland AI.

The selection is updated quarterly. This months update added three Zuid-Holland startups. A bit more on these three promising companies:

Crownstone (Rotterdam)

Crownstone designs and manufactures indoor positioning hardware for truly smart buildings, and for anyone carrying a smartphone, watch, or bracelet. They combine indoor localization with building automation for homes and offices, with smart plugs and connectors that save energy automatically when there’s no one present. Crownstone has originally been developed by DoBots and is part of the Rockstart Accelerator. They were launched as a company in 2016.

Procys (Rotterdam)

Procys is all about AI-powered invoice processing. They help teams to save time and money, by automating invoice data processing with cutting-edge machine learning. Their goal is to automate 50 billion hours of routine and repetitive work. Procys is a spin-off startup, born out of a large European domain name provider (OpenProvider), found in 2018.

Samotics (Leiden)

Samotics is on a mission to eliminate unplanned downtime and industrial energy waste. Their predictive maintenance system SAM4 uses AI to analyze current and voltage signals, which provides a great complement to condition monitoring technologies based on other types of data. Samotics was found in 2015, and is currently active across five continents.

With the addition of these three companies, there’s now an inspiring total of 40 Top AI Startups from Zuid-Holland in the Dutch selection of 142 companies. Check out this page for a total overview of the Dutch selection.
